Saturday 18th September - Louisiana Tavern - Elizabeth, South Australia*JUST ANNOUNCED*
September is not only the official "Feel Good" month of the year, it's also when you can see Grinspoon at the Louisiana Tavern in Elizabeth in South Australia. By popular demand Grinspoon are stretching their tour out to end the year with a huge banging month!
MORE NEW DATES FOR SYDNEY & THE GOLD COAST ON THE SIX TO MIDNIGHT TOUR
Grinspoon have made a second announcement of dates adding four more Sydney shows with Amy Meredith and The Snowdroppers and one up in Coolangatta.
With the tour starting on the 29th of July in Tasmania the show will see the lads weave their way through the ACT, regional New South Wales and Victoria before hitting the last stretch of the tour in South Australia, and one last show on The Gold Coast in QLD. The hugely successful first leg of the tour in March, saw the band playing at “Sold-Out” venues across the country to very energetic crowds. Grinspoon are looking forward to the opportunity to engage with their regional fans with their amazing show and unique support line-up.
Grinspoon's sixth studio album Six To Midnight has received a tremendous response so far, debuting at #4 in the ARIA charts and winning mountains of praise from fans and reviewers alike. The first two singles Comeback and Summer, and the latest single Premonitions have received huge reactions, gaining high rotation on most major TV & radio stations.
Legendary US producer Rick Will (Johnny Cash, No Doubt, Nine In Nails) was behind the albums' production & mixing duties, and has delivered one of Grinspoon's finest records to date. The band returned to their spiritual home town of Byron Bay to record the album, which helped them capture their affinity for a good live hard rock record, something the band really wanted to achieve.
Grinspoon's return to the live last year saw them play to a wild and overflowing main stage at the Splendour In The Grass festival, which went down as one of the band's most memorable gigs to date. A sold out launch tour on the east coast in September soon followed, with Six To Midnight released at the same time, and then a huge national tour in early 2010 saw the band take in some of the biggest venues in capital cities across the country. Their loyal army of fans received their first taste of the record in a live setting, and judging by the reaction so far, it's one of their best yet.
In celebration of all these great things, Grinspoon have decided to do what they do best and hit the road once again, this time taking in regional venues across New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania & South Australia. Come and see why Grinspoon have been proclaimed one of Australia's premier live acts, time and time again.

YOU AM I, OPERATOR PLEASE, BUTTERFINGERS AND LAKOTA JOIN THE RIPE LINE UP
Ripe Noosa 2010, is already bursting at the seams with the hottest bands. With 3 stages and every taste catered for there is only one dilemma music lovers on the Sunshine Coast should have on Saturday May 29… which stage should they be standing in front at any particular time? Just to throw a spanner in the works, RIPE HQ are adding 4 more bands to factor into that decision.
Joining the already stellar line up are the legendary You am I, Operator Please in one of their first Australian dates this year, four aria award nominated boys from Fortitude Valley, Butterfingers and local Sunshine Coast outfit Lakota, who won our live band comp last year and opened the festival in 2009.
You am I are, without question, one of this countries best live acts. With charismatic front man Tim Rogers, you know from the second they take the stage it’s going to be a knockout performance. You am I were the first aussie band to have 3 successive albums debut at #1 on the ARIA album charts. With no less than 14 songs having made it on to triple j’s hottest 100 list over the years, including ‘Berlin Chair’ which not only made the list the year it was released but made the Hottest 100 of all time list in 2009.
Operator Please burst onto the scene in 2007, winning an ARIA Award before most of it’s members were old enough to go to the pub to celebrate. ‘Just a song about ping pong’ and ‘get what you want’ were both on constant rotation on our airwaves. Now 3 years on with the band all grown up they are getting ready to release their long awaited sophomore album ‘Gloves’. Now seasoned performers having played every festival from the Big Day Out to Glastonbury they are bound to knock it out of the park at Ripe.
Butterfingers have always been at the top of our list with a string of hits (‘I love work’ ‘Figjam’ and ‘get up outta the dirt’) and a spot in top 10 on Triple J’s Hottest 100. So when the boys devoted fans started a facebook page just to get them on the bill and hundreds of people joined the chorus, we found the request hard to ignore.
Here at Ripe HQ we are committed to supporting local music. We are once again on the hunt for local talent to jump up on stage at Ripe Noosa and join our local MASC stage line up! Send through your applications (myspace's, facebook pages, online recordings, youtube video's or anything else that show's off your skill) to info@ripenoosa.com. The deadline for applications is 12 April. After the applications close we will announce the 5 finalists and then we will open it up for facebook fans to vote for the winner. So if you’re in a band, get your application in and if you know someone in a band, get on facebook and get your fingers ready to start voting!
RIPE NOOSA 2010 line up will be our biggest to date including The Cat Empire, Grinspoon, Birds of Tokyo, British India, You am I, Butterfingers, Urthboy, Funkoars, Infusion, Operator Please, Cassette Kids, Washington, Bridezilla, Kid Kenobi, MC Shureshock, Goodwill, Kid Mac, and Lakota ....with the Facebook band comp winner still to be announced!
RIPE NOOSA is once again making itself at home in the Hinterland. A full to the brim, one day music festival delivering the hottest live acts Australia has to offer and loads of festival content, to your doorstep. That's what RIPE NOOSA is all about.
Keep your eyes and ears peeled for more updates - in the meantime, head to www.ripenoosa.com for further details. Tickets are on sale now. Why not spend your weekend getting ….well….ripened!

COME TOGETHER FESTIVAL 2010
FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT
It’s Winter, the Queen gives you a day off, your summer shenanigans are a little hazy, or hazier, fake tan looks stupider than it normally does, and Bondi beach is quieter than a sign language convention, must be time to rock on with your Doc’s on at the annual two day punk, rock and indie extravaganza, Come Together 2010.
Since 2005, Come Together has gotten down and dirty to dig up some of Australia’s best-kept secrets, showcasing them together for the “smarter than the average bear” punters and providing the platform spring boarding them into the big city lights.
The first Come Together saw folks you might now know like the Presets, Sarah Blasko and Josh Pyke and we have continued to keep rolling out killer acts since, including The Living End, Bliss ’n’ Eso, Midnight Juggernauts and Datarock, right up to instalment number 7 in 2010.
Another year, another heaving line-up with Come Together 2010 set to be bigger, badder and better than before. WA four-piece Gyroscope take the trip over the Nullabor returning to Come Together on the Saturday, fresh off Triple J’s One Night Stand, and with their new album ‘Cohesion’ in tow. Joining them on Saturday, Bris Vegas rockers The Butterfly Effect, punk (and boat) rocking faves Frenzal Rhomb, Philadelphia’s The Loved Ones (US) make their first trip down under together with punk rock royalty Strung Out (US). Progressive hardcore upstarts House Vs Hurricane, and MM9 will be sure to get the joint jumping.
With their sixth album ‘Six to Midnight’ doing the rounds, Sunday sees Lismore’s finest, Grinspoon reminding the Come Together faithful why they are one of Australia’s much loved acts. Sunday also sees the indie kings and queens strut their stuff led by British India with material from their latest album ‘Avalanche’, Triple J darling Bertie Blackman, Oz hip-hop’s current heroes Horrowshow and rising rockers Calling All Cars all taking centre stage. With more acts up our sleeve and some familiar faces filling out the rest of the announced line-up, you best start getting it together for Come Together.
Taking place over the June long weekend at Luna Park, Sydney, Come Together 2010 delivers the strongest line-up to date. With the unlimited rides included in the ticket, there is so much value for money we should be advertising on the Kerri Ann show right after the ab-tastic fat blastertron.
So friends, some of the latest and greatest performing alongside some of the tried and tested delivering two days of non-stop rock in all its various shapes, sounds and sizes, unlimited free rides, it’s an all ages affair, and Queen Lizzie gives you an extra day to recover. Sounds like your plan for the June long weekend is all coming together (sorry).
SATURDAY, JUNE 12th
Gyroscope, The Butterfly Effect, Frenzal Rhomb, Strung Out (US), House V Hurricane, MM9, The Loved Ones (US), Deeznuts, Heroes for Hire, Circle Pit, Jerrico plus more to be announced
SUNDAY, JUNE 13th

GTM 2010: Bunbury Event Mooves to a Greener Pasture at Hay Park
And Bendigo Event Sells Out!
BENDIGO VIC | TOWNSVILLE QLD | MAITLAND NSW | CANBERRA ACT | BUNBURY WA
MAY 2010
It has been a HUGE four weeks for GTM 2010. First a massive line up announcement, then the Maitland show sold out in under a week, NOW we can announce that in only two weeks the Bendigo show has officially sold out AND with the support of Bunbury City Council and ticket buyers in WA, GTM Bunbury will moove to a new location; Hay Park, Bunbury.
Bunbury City Council and His Worship the Mayor David Smith worked together with Sunset Events to ensure the event was moved to a more suitable location after the community of Bunbury indicated a high level of support for the event through strong ticket sales.
“It has been changed to accommodate what has now become a bigger event where the extra space will allow for a more orderly presentation of these outstanding bands. I’m certain that with the high standard of security and management, and its scheduled finish time of 11pm it will be an event well received by the community,” announced His Worship the Mayor David Smith.
Dave Chitty from Sunset Events said, “We'd like to thank the music loving community of Western Australia for their support of Groovin’ the Moo, which has culminated in the event moving from Pat Usher Foreshore to Hay Park to better accommodate the demand the public has shown.”
On a national level, the support and response from all communities for the five GTM shows has been unprecedented.
"The response to this year's GTM has been incredible. Maitland sold out in 4 days and Bendigo in 2 weeks. Townsville, Canberra and Bunbury are all selling strongly, so if you are planning to come along to any of these shows, please don't leave it too late to buy your tickets or you may miss out,“ said Stephen Halpin (GTM Promoter, Cattleyard Promotions).
Stay tuned for further announcements in regards to local artist announcements and community initiatives.
